Dr. Kala Jordan

Founder, Executive Director

Dr. Kala Jordan is the founder of Im.P.A.C.T for Advancement. She has worked in the field of education since 2007, serving as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher, EIP (Early Intervention Teacher), and currently as an Instructional Coach for the last 5 years. She has worked in the Clarke County School System since 2008. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

She co-founded HartStrong, which focused on providing resources to students and increasing community involvement. This later evolved to Im.P.A.C.T for Advancement, which focuses on strengthening the family structure by providing support and resources to parents and guardians. Dr. Jordan has served as the Director of several programs to include the Pathways to Success Program (PSP) and the Summer Bridge Program. In addition to this, she has served on several district-level committees within the Clarke County School System since 2008 and has been instrumental in curriculum writing and implementation.

Fred Sewell

Board Member, Realtor for Keller Williams of Greater Athens

Fred has been a Licensed Realtor for 5 years. He started with Keller Williams Greater Athens, spent 3 years with Give Back Real Estate and is now back with Keller Williams Greater Athens. During this time Fred has sold over 125 homes and has produced well over 30 Million dollars in sales. Fred was born and raised in Athens and is graduate of Clarke Central High School. Fred also holds his Bachelor's Degree in Technology Management from Gainesville State University.

Tori Durrett

Board Member, Academic Coach for Clayton County School System

Tori is a native of Hartwell, GA, and is currently a resident of Decatur, GA. She has worked in Education for 24 years, Newton and Clayton County School Systems. Tori has been selected as Teacher of the Year twice during her teaching career. She is the owner of Teacher on Wheels, Tutoring and Consultant, Inc. and Lady Like Cleaning and Disinfectant, LLC. Tori is also a Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Inc, where providing service to all Mankind is an ultimate mission. She is a former basketball player of Georgia Southern University, and is now a NCAA Women’s Division 1 Basketball Official. Tori received her Bachelors from Georgia Southern University and her Masters degree from Walden University and she will be furthering her education in the near future.

Joan Lewis

Board Member, Marketing Outreach Coordinator at MedLink GA

Joan Lewis is bold and fierce, possessing a pure heart with a smile and dynamic personality to match. As the Marketing Outreach Coordinator for Medlink GA, she services the Athens/Clarke, Madison, Elbert, Franklin, Stephens, and Hart County areas. With over 20 years of marketing management, non-profit, and community services experience. Joan is able to bring her unique qualities and devotion to helping individuals access affordable healthcare full circle to be of service to Im.P.A.C.T for Advancement.

Joan is not only a team player, but embodies the values of the organization. She helps deliver leadership, health care services with community outreach, and marketing strategies for the organization. She is humbled by this opportunity to make an impact in our community.
